U.S. natural gas exports to Mexico hit monthly record in June- EIA

Aug 4 (Reuters) - U.S. natural gas pipeline exports to Mexico averaged around a record of 6.8 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) in June, driven by hot weather which increased demand in Mexico's electric power sector, the Energy information Administration (EIA) said on Thursday.

The release also noted that exports to Mexico have grown in the recent years as the domestic pipeline network within Mexico continues to expand.

Natural gas exports to Mexico in first half of 2023 averaged 5.9 Bcf/d, the agency added.
