UK Adds 7 Blocks to 30th Round

UK upstream regulator, Oil and Gas Authority, said August 4 it has added seven blocks to its 30th offshore licensing round.

The blocks were not initially on offer, when the 30th round including 813 blocks and part-blocks was announced July 25, as they were pending clarification of boundary lines between the Landward and Seaward licensing regimes.

The seven extra blocks are 110/5, 110/10, 110/16, 110/18, 113/24, 113/29 and 113/30, and are in Liverpool Bay in the southeast part of the Irish Sea.

Further details about the 30th round, which closes for applications November 21 2017, can be found here.  A related event is being hosted by the OGA on August 22 in Aberdeen.
