The Gazette: Fylde anti-frackers’ anger at ‘censored report’

Fylde residents have written to their MP to protest about a DEFRA report on fracking which has been heavily censored for the public.

It comes as the Government’s Infrastructure Bill, which features a new strategic approach for the recovery of oil and gas reserves, including streamlined access to onshore oil and gas reserves , for example when fracking for shale gas, is being examined this week by a Public Bill Committee.

The bill will be examined to see if amendments are needed before it goes back to MPs for a final reading in the next few weeks..

Cuadrilla is seeking to drill, frack, and test gas flows, with associated separate applications for environmental monitoring, at two sites at Preston New Road at Little Plumpton, and Roseacre Wood.
