Ukraine, Moldova Discuss Cooperation Opportunities with Poland

Ukraine, Moldova and Poland discussed trilateral cooperation opportunities on Thursday. 

‘The parties have paid special attention to the topical issues of the Ukrainian-Moldovan-Polish relations, particularly the intensification of the political dialogue at the highest level and the development of trilateral cooperation’ reads a note released on Thursday. 

Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko added that the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU will offer new opportunities for Ukraine and Moldova to step up business ties.  

‘The interlocutors have discussed the issue of energy independence of Ukraine and Moldova and the issue of energy security of Europe. It has become the continuation of the agreements achieved at the Summit of the Visegrad Group.’

Meanwhile, Gazprom will increase its natural gas supplies to Belarus by 40% in the fourth quarter of the year in comparison to the previous three months, confirming that Moscow is trying to increase cooperation with Belarus and Kazakstan to alleviate the consequences of the current standoff with some European countries.
