Ukraine Seeks Gas Supplies from US

Ukraine plans to makes purchases of liquefied natural gas from the United States.

Speaking to reporters in advance of a trip to the US, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko commented about the attractive pricing available in the US.

“Taking into consideration that the USA has the cheapest gas for today and we know about the U.S. government plans to increase its export, we will have the applied part of negotiations on possibility of purchasing liquefied gas from the USA."

Ukraine has also held discussions to secure LNG supplies from Qatar.
