Ukraine Storage Up on 2017
Ukraine has more gas in store now than it did this time last year and is well placed to manage the winter, the state monopoly Naftogaz Ukrainy said November 8.
In the first week of the month its storage reserves grew by almost 100mn m³ and the total now stands at 17.2bn m³. In the same week last year, inventories were unchanged since the beginning of October.
This year there are 400mn m³ or 2.4% more in storage than this time last year. Ukraine ended the last heating season this spring with 7.4bn m³, which is "substantially higher than the technical minimum," it said. It did not give details of who had injected the capacity but it has been looking for third party bookings as an additional source of revenue.
