Ukrainian Journal: Ukrainian, Austrian, Italian companies to extract western shale gas

Geological Bureau Lviv LLC jointly with Austria's RAG B.V. and Italy's Sorgenia energy holding is planning to extract shale gas in western Ukraine, said Zinoviy Kozytsky, the founder of the bureau.

"We want to obtain a license to extract shale gas… We've submitted an application to the State Service for Geology and Deposits for the Dmytriyivska field (Lviv region). It is not as big as, for example, the Oleske field, but we take a practical view of the situation," he said.  MORE
