Vestnik Kavkaza: Ukrainian president grants foreigners access to pipelines

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the bill on amendments to some Ukrainian laws on reformation of the national gas transportation system. The bill will allow special companies to control gas pipelines and containers.

The parliament of Ukraine passed a bill on August 14, allowing the government to form an operator for gas pipelines. U.S. and EU investors will be given a share of up to 49% and an opportunity to manage pipelines and gas containers. The parliament will be a shareholder of the gas transportation operator.
