Ukraine's TSO Joins GIE Association
Ukraine's GTSOU has joined the the Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) association of European gas infrastructure operators, it said on January 25.
GIE brings together 70 operators of gas transmission systems, storage facilities and LNG terminals from 26 countries. GTSOU said joining the group would help it expand its international cooperation, including in the areas of sustainable development, decarbonisation, technical innovation, renewables and hydrogen.

GSTOU took over Ukraine's gas transmission system at the start of 2020 after it was spun off from national gas company Naftogaz. But the country's vast underground gas storage facilities remain under the control of Naftogaz's Ukrtransgaz subsidiary.
GIE is itself part of the broader GasNaturally association, whose other members are Eurogas, European Gas Research Group, International Association of Oil and Gas Producers, the International Gas Union, Liquid Gas Europe, Marcogaz and NGVA Europe.
