Standart: Varna okays the South Stream construction

The municipal council of the city of Varna today approved the detailed plan of the construction of the terrestrial part of the South Stream pipeline in the city's territory on the first of the 2014 sessions of the local parliament.

With 36 votes " for" and only 2 "against", the detailed plan for the construction of the project was adopted with a decisive majority.

The construction of the South Stream pipeline in Bulgaria will begin in early spring, Economy Minister Dragomir Stoynev informed. The constructors are only waiting for proper weather conditions, he noted.  MORE
