Western Australia invites bids for eight oil, gas permits
The government of Western Australia has invited applicants to bid on eight areas for petroleum exploration in the state, it said on March 18.
The blocks are based in the Northern Carnarvon and Amadeus basins and vary in size from 390 to 10,282 km2. Seven of the blocks are onshore and one is offshore in state waters, the government said.

Successful bidders can conduct exploration activities within the specified title for six years. The application period for this acreage release closes on June 16.
