Work Fully Resumes at Sinopec's Fuling Field
Sinopec has fully resumed work at its Fuling shale gas field in China’s Sichuan basin, the company said March 24 in a statement. The work had stopped owing to coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.
In the year to date, the Fuling field has produced 1.3bn m3 of shale gas, up 5.6% yr/yr and sold 1.25bn m3, up 5.7% yr/yr, Sinopec said.
Fuling was the first shale gas project in China to achieve commercial production in 2015. A total of four shale fields have been discovered in the Sichuan basin in recent years: Fuling, Weiyuan, Changning and Weirong.
