Worley Wins UAE LNG Feed Work

Abu Dhabi national oil company Adnoc announced on March 3 the award of a contract for front-end engineering design (Feed) to Australia's Worley for rejuvenating two trains at the 6mn metric ton/year Das Island LNG export terminal in the emirate.

The Feed work will be followed up with the award of an engineering, procurement and construction contract to Worley, depending on the study's results. The project aims to extend the working lives of the trains, enhancing efficiency by replacing and maintaining key processing equipment, including underground piping, major machinery and sea water intake.

"This award further highlights Adnoc LNG’s drive to invest responsibly and unlock greater value from our assets and resources," Adnoc LNG CEO Fatema Al Nuaimi said. "The rejuvenation of these two trains will ensure the resilience, reliability and safety of our operations, and reinforces Adnoc LNG’s commitment to its customers as we continue to work towards our long-term strategy."

The two trains account for over half of Adnoc LNG's liquefaction capacity.
