YPF Appoints New CEO
YPF announced April 5 the appointment of Daniel Gonzalez as its new CEO. He had been the company’s CFO and executive vice president for the past six years.
Gonzalez fills a gap created August 2017 when the former CEO Ricardo Darre resigned after 13 months in office.
"We trust that Daniel will be able to contribute, from this new position, to comply with the objectives of the strategic plan for the next five years presented in October 2017, which will transform the operations and culture of the company, "said YPF president Miguel Gutierrez.
The company said that Gonzalez, whilst CFO, had actively participated in the design of the current strategic plan that envisages investment of almost $30bn over the next five years,. It also cited his contribution in concluding recent Vaca Muerta shale gas development contracts with companies such as Petronas, Schlumberger, Shell, Pampa Energia and Statoil.
