Zenith signs MoU with South Sudan
London-listed Zenith Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Sudan’s ministry of petroleum regarding the acquisition and development of oil and gas production licenses in the African nation, Zenith announced on June 23.
Zenith CEO Andrea Cattaneo said that South Sudan possesses a prolific petroleum system and has been the company's recent focus.
“South Sudan is endowed with a prolific petroleum system and has been the focus of our attention in recent months. We believe there are potentially many commercially attractive opportunities in-country for Zenith to acquire and develop successfully,” Cattaneo said.
Zenith is an independent energy company with energy production, exploration and development assets in Tunisia, Italy and the Republic of Congo.
