BW Offshore on August 29 said that the Barossa floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel project is 40% complete.
“As of July, the gas and condensate FPSO project was close to 40% completed in line with the schedule,” the company said in its half-yearly results report.

Australia’s Santos, which operates the Barossa gas and condensate project, awarded the Barossa FPSO contract to BW Offshore in March last year. The final investment decision to proceed with the Barossa project, located offshore the Northern Territory, was also taken in the same month.
The US$3.6bn Barossa gas and condensate project will help extend the life of Santos’s Darwin LNG project.
