China LNG Production Capacity, CBM output seen up by 2015

Total Chinese domestic liquefied natural gas (LNG) production capacity and CBM output are expected to see a substantial rise  by 2015.

Chinese LNG production capacity could be to the tune of 7.5 million tons per year by 2015. 

The country is currently building more than 40 LNG plants, and has more than 20 operating LNG plants.

China's coalbed methane (CBM) output is to reach 21 billion cubic meters by 2015, posting a substantial increase from the output of 1.5 billion cubic meters in 2010.

It is also planed that China will add 890 billion cubic meters of CBM proved reserve during the next five years and to form two CBM industrialization base in Qinshui Basin of north China's Shanxi province and east edge of Ordos Basin in northern China.
