China's LNG Imports in October Drop Over 11%

China imported 4.04mn metric tons of LNG in October, down 11.5% yr/yr, the customs department’s data published November 23 showed. Imports were also down on month from 5.1mn mt in September.

During the first 10 months of the year, China imported 47.4mn mt of LNG, representing a 14.1% increase compared with the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, China’s pipeline gas imports in October came to 2.48mn mt, down 8.1% yr/yr. During the January-October period pipeline gas shipments totalled 30.31mn mt, down 0.6% yr/yr, the data showed.
