Comet Ridge Completes CSG Pilot Wells in Queensland

Australian coal seam gas explorer Comet Ridge Limited has said that it has completed four Mahalo pilot wells for production  at the Mahalo block in ATP 337P, north of Rolleston in the Bowen Basin, central Queensland.  This work follows the successful drilling of these wells in July this year.

The service rig has now been stacked in the area to undertake further completion operations on other wells in the Mahalo block early in the New Year, the company said. It firther added that completion of the Mahalo wells is a key step in constructing the Mahalo pilot scheme,  with the intention of achieving reserves certification in 2013.

Comet Ridge has a 35% interest in ATP 337P Mahalo, having divested a 5% interest in the asset in late 2011.
