Dunkirk Gets 1st Norwegian LNG

Dunkerque LNG, operator of France's newest import terminal, said it received the first Norwegian LNG cargo from Snohvit on May 14. The cargo was delivered aboard the tanker Meridian Spirit, the company said in a tweet on May 15.

In a separate tweet, Dunkerque GNL said that it received its eighth LNG tanker, Al Khuwair, on May 5. Most deliveries to the Dunkirk terminal are from Qatar under term contracts to supply EDF. However other firms such as Total have capacity at Dunkirk, and the latter is also a Snohvit equity producer.

As at April 10, the terminal had received three commercial cargoes this year, following three commissioning cargoes received in 2H 2016.
