Gasum opens new LBG, LNG station in Sweden
Gasum, a Nordic energy company, has opened a new liquefied gas filling station in Växjö, Sweden, as part of its expansion of the gas filling station network across the Nordics, the company said on July 3.
The station offers renewable liquefied biogas (LBG) and LNG as fuel options. With the addition of the Växjö station, Gasum now operates 22 filling stations in Sweden and over 50 across the Nordics.
Currently, there are nearly 1,000 heavy-duty vehicles running on liquefied gas and more than 2,200 running on compressed gas in Sweden, Gasum said. The growing network of gas filling stations provides new opportunities for transitioning to lower-emission transport options.
Gasum collaborated with logistics company Alwex Transport to establish the filling station in Växjö.
