Gazprom's Miller Talks Development with Kazakh Leaders
Gazprom vice-president Alexey Miller talked expansion with Kazakh energy minister Sauat Mynbayev when a Kazakh delegation visited Gazprom headquarters in Moscow.
Natural gas supplies for Kazakhstan were on the agenda, agencies reported.
"The parties discussed a wide range of issues associated with cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in the oil and gas sector," Gazprom said in a statement. "Particular attention was given to the issues of natural gas supplies to consumers of the republic of Kazakhstan."
KazRosGaz, a joint venture between Gazprom and KazMunayGas, handles natural gas and gas products purchasing, processing, marketing, and transportation.
Gazprom estimates explored natural gas reserves of the Republic of Kazakhstan at 3.3 trillion cubic meters (tcm). Total natural gas resources, including those offshore the Caspian Sea, are forecast at about 8 tcm.
