Georgia Completes Zestaponi-Kutaisi Pipeline Section
Georgia has completed a section of its high pressure gas pipeline, increasing reliability of the entire system, Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation wrote on Wednesday.
‘Construction of Zestaponi-Kutaisi 23 km section of the high pressure main gas pipeline began in spring 2014 and was carried out by the international tender-winning Georgian company - Ltd SaqMilsadenMshen.’
Building activities were funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Construction of Zestaponi-Kutaisi section was implemented within the frames of East-West Main Gas Pipeline.

USAID allocated a total of $78 million for the rehabilitation of Georgia’s gas infrastructure.
