German transport firm Steinbach pens bio-LNG deal with Alternoil

Bayreuth, Germany-based transport company Steinbach has signed a long-term contract with fuel distributor Alternoil for the supply of bio-LNG, Alternoil said on December 13.

The contract will commence from January 1 next year. Alternoil did not provide any other details about the deal.

Alternoil is a leading provider of bio-LNG, a cleaner alternative to traditional diesel fuel, and operates a nationwide network of filling stations in Germany. Steinbach operates a fleet of more than 150 heavy-duty vehicles.

Earlier this year, Alternoil secured a long-term supply agreement with Danish biogas plant operator GronGas, further strengthening its commitment to providing bio-LNG solutions. Together with its partners, Alternoil aims to achieve carbon neutrality for over 50,000 heavy-duty trucks by 2030 through investments in waste-to-energy projects.
