Ghana Contract Goes to TechnipFMC
TechnipFMC has been awarded a contract by the Eni-operated joint venture of Eni, Vitol and Ghana National Petroleum Company for the onshore part of the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) development of the Sankofa field, offshore Ghana.
Under the contract, TechnipFMC will perform project management, engineering, supply, construction and commissioning (EPC) for the onshore receiving facilities at Sanzule, which form part of OCTP's Gas to Power Plan. The project is scheduled for completion by mid-2018. The contract will be mainly executed by the teams of TechnipFMC in Ghana.
Eni said at its recent March 1 strategy briefing that first oil from OCTP during 1H2017 with first gas following in 1H2018. Eni's website says that the OCTP hold 41bn m3 of non-associated gas and 500mn bbls of oil; combined oil and gas production peak in 2019 is expected at 80,000 boe/d.
