India's Swan Energy leases FSRU to Botas
India’s Swan Energy has signed an agreement to lease out its floating storage regasification unit (FSRU), Vasant One, to Turkey’s Botas, the company said on March 9.
The duration of the agreement is 12 months and is extendable on mutual agreement, according to various media reports. The lease arrangement is for a rental of $250,000/day, Swan Energy said. Vasant One was built by Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries and delivered to Swan in 2020 for use as part of an LNG import terminal in Gujarat.

Botas recently signed an LNG purchase deal with Oman LNG for the supply of 1mn metric tons/year of LNG, starting in 2025. In September last year, Botas said it was laying the groundwork to establish a regional LNG bunkering hub.
Turkey is geographically situated to serve as an energy hub between Middle East suppliers and customers in Europe. Botas said it could capitalise on that strategic position by establishing an LNG supply centre to service the eastern Mediterranean market.
