Iran Boosts Sweetening Capacity 6%
Iran increased gas sweetening capacity by 6% in the first 10 months of the current Iranian fiscal year, started on March 21, 2015. Abdolhossein Samari, an official with the National Iranian Gas Company, said the output of gas processing plants stood at 145bn m3 in the 10-month period, Shana news agency reported on January 31.
Meanwhile, LPG production rose by 40%, to 2.288mn mt; ethane production reached 1.317mn mt and condensate production reached 25mn m³.
Iran started a new gas processing plant at phase 17 and 18 of South Pars, adding 12.5 mn m3/d to refining capacity.
Iran produced 178 mn m3 of processed gas 202 mn m3 of raw gas during last fiscal year, ended on March 20, 2015.
