Iran Completes Drilling of Second Well in South Pars Phase 13
Iran has completed drilling operations in second well at the South Pars gas field's phase 13.
The well was drilled to the depth of 2,850 meters and the whole operation finished ahead of schedule.
Pars Oil and Gas Company has said that phase 13's capacity will be equivalent to two standard phases of the South Pars. It should deliver 50 million cubic meters of purified natural gas, 400 tons of sulfur, 1.1 million cubic meters of LPG and 1 million cubic meters of ethane per day.
The South Pars gas field is shared by Iran and Qatar. The Iranian share, which is divided into 29 phases, has about 14 trillion cubic meters of gas, or about eight per cent of the total world reserves.
