Iran's Serajeh Facility Will Store About 1.3 bcm of Gas This Year

Serajeh gas storage facility in Iran will store as much as 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas this year, director of Gas Transfer District 3 Houshang Mehrdadfar told Shana News.

Mehrdadfar further said that around 1.021 bcm of gas has been withdrawn from the facility over the past five months adding that as much as 10 mcm of gas per day will be injected to Sarajeh gas storage facility as of next week.

Gas injection to the facility hit 1.24 bcm during the previous Iranian calendar year to March 21 2015 up by 35 percent against the preceding year. 

Serajeh gas storage facility, located 40 km away from Qom city and 140 km south of Tehran, has a storage capacity of 1.5 bcm of gas. The capacity will reach 3.3 bcm after completion of its second phase, Shana said.
