Jura Starts Drilling In Balochistan
Pakistan-focused Jura Energy Corporation has started drilling the Zarghun South-4 development well in the Zarghun South lease in the province of Balochistan, it said January 13.
The projected measured depth of the well is 2,070 meters, which will target the Dunghan limestone formation of Paleocene age, Jura said. The Zarghun South covers an area of 124.22 km2 and is located near the city of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan.
Jura holds a 40% working interest in the Zarghun South lease, which is operated by Mari Petroleum Company.
