Norwegian Gassco Names New Chair

Norwegian gas pipeline operator Gassco has appointed Jan Skogseth as its new chairman.

Skogseth succeeds Mimi Berdal, who has been a board director since 2007 and chairman of the board since 2016. He was elected at the company's June 25 board meeting.

Skogseth has more than 35 years of experience in the oil, gas and renewable industry, both in Norway and internationally. He was president and CEO of Norwegian oil field services company Aibel from 2008 to 2017, and played a key role in establishing new presence and business for the company on several continents, said Gassco.
