Oz Senex Appoints New CFO

Australian oil and gas explorer Senex Energy September 11 announced the appointment of Mark McCabe as CFO. He will join Senex from Origin Energy, where he has held the role of CFO and deputy CEO of Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) for the past nine years.

“Mark will bring considerable finance and leadership experience in Queensland’s natural gas industry to Senex at a pivotal time in the development of our company. His appointment is a significant step in continuing our strong performance as we transform into an important east coast gas supplier,” Senex CEO Ian Davies. McCabe is expected to join Senex in early December.

Senex is undertaking the approximately 110-well Surat Basin campaign in Queensland. Senex has drilled and completed the first five wells of its approximately 60-well Project Atlas drilling campaign. In Roma North, the company has drilled and completed the first 10 wells of its approximately 50-well drilling campaign.
