Petronas to Look for Conventional, Unconventional Hydrocarbons in Turkey
Malaysian oil and gas major Petronas will explore for oil and gas, including shale, in Turkey, according to Turkish media reports.
Local newspaper Daily Sabah on Friday said that Petronas in cooperation with Turkish Petroleum Corporation will look for natural gas in Thrace region and for crude oil in the Mediterranean region of Turkey in 2015.
According to the data of the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, the biggest natural gas reserves and the highest volume of production is being carried out in the provinces of Tekirdağ and Düzce, while the southeastern Anatolia has a high shale potential, Daily Sabah added.
