Sinopec launches 1st hydrogen refuelling station in Inner Mongolia

Chinese state-run energy company Sinopec has inaugurated its first hydrogen refuelling station in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it said on June 30.

The station boasts of a daily refuelling capacity of 300 kg, which is sufficient to serve 15 hydrogen-fuelled buses in Wuhai City. In the future, the station aims to expand its services to support hydrogen fuel vehicles in various application scenarios, including cold chain transportation, express delivery, and garbage disposal, Sinopec said.

The launch of the Wuhaiwei Seventh Street hydrogen refuelling station demonstrates Sinopec's commitment to advancing clean and eco-friendly transportation solutions, the company stated.

By embracing hydrogen fuel technology, the company said, it aims to play a pivotal role in mitigating carbon emissions, promoting sustainable energy sources, and facilitating the transition towards a greener and more sustainable transportation ecosystem.
