Trillion recompletes West Akcakoca-1 at SASB gas field

Canada-listed Trillion Energy on June 22 announced the recompletion of the West Akcakoca-1 gas well, located at the SASB gas field offshore Turkey. This recompletion resulted in an increase in gas production, reaching a rate of 5.3mn ft3/day.

Two additional gas-bearing intervals were perforated at measured depths of 3,561.5 to 3,564.5 m and 3,498.5 to 3,501.5 m, totaling 6 m. These perforations were made using wireline technology on the platform, without requiring the drilling rig.

The SASB natural gas field is located in the Black Sea and is one of the first natural gas development projects in that region. Trillion holds a 49% ownership interest in the field.
