Turkmenistan Well Placed to Boost Gas Output, Exports

President of Turkemnistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov has said that the country has all the prerequisites to increase the volume of gas production and exports in the coming years.

"The presence of the richest deposits of hydrocarbon raw material and a favorable investment climate for potential foreign partners has led to the international recognition of Turkmenistan as a major energy power," Trend quoted the president as saying.

He pointed that most urgent tasks of the oil and gas complexes for the future are the efficient use of the huge natural gas reserve its processing and production of high quality polymers which are in great demand in the world market.

“Current development of the gas industry of Turkmenistan is based on mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign companies, construction and commissioning of new gas pipelines and a major industrial infrastructure,” he said.
