UGI in fifth New York RNG project

Energy marketer UGI said November 15 its Cayuga RNG joint venture had entered into agreements to develop its fifth renewable natural gas (RNG) project in upstate New York.

The new project will be developed at New Hope View Farms, a fifth-generation dairy farm on 2,400 acres near Homer, New York, and involves modifying an existing anaerobic biogas facility to produce RNG and adding gas upgrading equipment.

When completed in the second half of 2024, it will be capable of producing 35mn ft3/year of RNG, which will be delivered into a local natural gas pipeline serving a regional gas distribution system.
