Vision RNG breaks ground on Missouri landfill project

Renewable natural gas (RNG) developer Vison RNG said September 14 it had broken ground on the Meridian Waste Eagle Ridge landfill project in Missouri, with completion expected early next year.

The project will use 1,500 ft3/minute of landfill gas to produce 375,000 mnBtu/year of RNG that will then be injected into nearby interstate natural gas pipelines and used across the US for transportation fuel and other sustainability purposes.

“At Meridian Waste, our environmental services team has always considered our landfills to be highly engineered structures that provide a vital resource to our local communities,” Meridian Waste CEO Walter Hall said. “We view the conversion of our landfill gas to clean energy to be an effective means of recycling and reusing this valuable resource.”
